使用基因编缉技术使小鼠表达TRAMP突变序列，建立TRAMP突变小鼠模型。TRAMP转基因前列腺癌小鼠模型。转基因前列腺癌小鼠模型可发展为进行性前列腺癌，伴有远处位点转移，并表现出从轻度上皮内增生到大的多结节恶性肿瘤的各种形式的疾病，出现前列腺上皮性肿瘤（PIN）。transgenic adenocarcinoma of mouse prostate前列腺异型增生程度愈加明显，分化腺癌主要在前列腺的背叶和外侧叶。大龄显示出转移到淋巴结和或肺部，叶状体出现某些肿瘤和精囊侵袭的证据，发现明显的前列腺癌神经内分泌分化现象。肿瘤表现出核TRP53水平升高和雄激素受体表达降低。TRAMP小鼠可稳定自发前列腺癌,出现前列腺上皮内瘤、高分化腺癌、低分化癌和神经内分泌癌的特点，可作为人类前列腺癌研究的经典动物模型。
